Also, has he checked what won the Oscar this past year? I watched CODA, and I don’t remember if it has any radical Islamic terrorist pedophiles, but I do remember it having a pretty positive message!
That’s fine, I’m glad people liked it, and I can see why they did, there were definitely fun parts, but I feel like it got graded on a massive curve. (Also, this movie also struck me as a pretty jingoistic, America#1 movie).

Sorry, misunderstood your original post, I think.
I’m not sure I get what your point is here.
It got good reviews, I think jets are cool, I’d sat through the first one so I figured I’d at least see if they brought goose back to life (Top Gun: Walking Dead), it’s part of the cultural zeitgeist (love using that word, although I probably misused it) and I like to try to stay current when I can, and also I just had…
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Top Gun Maverick got GREAT reviews! That’s what I meant to say, “great reviews”! Sorry for the confusion, feel free to call me an idiot, which is true.
Suffice it to say, the problem with Peterson isn’t that he offers advice to that particular group of people, and you are either a moron, operating in bad faith, or both, if you think that’s the problem people have with him.
I’m not reduced to tears because people say mean things about me, but not sure which way that cuts. Thanks for your concern though. How’s your life?
I know! I meant “great reviews.” I saw it, it was fine, about 80% as fun as just going to an air show (and much more expensive) and is probably the worst movie I’ve seen in theaters since The Joker, which was also fine.
I meant “great reviews,” thanks.
This is surely true, but also worth noting that almost all celebrities get so much money (and power) at least in part because people feel emotionally invested in their lives.
Young men, the most marginalized group. Anywho, I know this movie is getting bad reviews (although I’m sure it’s better than Top Gun: Maverick, which got shitty reviews), and I hate wasting my money on stuff that sucks, but anything that makes Jordan Peterson cry I will gladly support.
So your call would be to disengage and leave the girl with her mother’s murderer? Hope things turn out. Hope he’s more amenable to arrest tomorrow? Wrong.
Hate to tell you, Herschel, but getting recognized is only half the battle.
I mean, even if she might have opened fire on them (it’s plausible in a variety of ways, I suppose), there were a lot of things that happened before that moment that the police were largely in control of. They chose a riskier path (for themselves, but especially for the actual victim) than they had to.
Not initiate a fucking public dangerous chase with an armed and dangerous murderer who has an innocent child hostage with him! I get there is a natural impulse to chase after the bad guy, but not every fucking situation calls for the car chase from The Blues Brothers. Choosing not to engage in a DANGEROUS CHASE in the…
Right? Not condoning the morals of it, but when you’re young and have energy and foolishness. But who needs the effort now that I’m in my late 30s? I’ve got a hand, and frankly I’d usually rather take a nap than do even that! I’ve known a couple people who have cheated on spouses around this age or older, and the one…
What is it you think is going to make any of these decisions more defensible?
