A rebodied Falcon that some guy named Carol didn't want to work on because it was just a secretary's car.
MPH x 100 is just the best thing ever.
ARGH!
Not completely unharmed, he did get scratched.
Hooray for the rebellious youths of China!
OK, wait, the rocket sled impact from Mythbusters. That car is basically atomized.

De gustibus non est disputandum.
I drew up a simple diagram to explain:
This has been kicking around my subconscious for a while, but I could never really articulate it. I love 911's but could never get behind the cabs (and I really like convertibles). You've described the reason perfectly.
I like it too, just wished they went more hot hatch and less CUV.
I agree about Cabrios, but there's something about the Targa that gets a pass from me.
yes, I've gotten busy in a tree, even busy in a rose bush in bloom,
the gorgeous targa is NOT helping your case. Ive never been a big fan of targas(just get a convertible), but that actually makes a case for itself.
Or, give them all to me. I have a long driveway, and for those who find the Targa and Cabrio aesthetically challenged, I'll promise to only drive them at night.
Man, what a weird pair that was.
Having driven both a Stingray and a new Viper I can tell you that you are right on the money. The Vette was infinitely more comfortable, easier to see out of, drive, live with, etc. But it didn't really feel as special.
I've got a c6z as my only car. I live in northern Illinois so our winters can get a little rough. I get a lot of weird looks when I'm driving it through the snow. It makes ~570whp NA and will spin in 4th on the winters even when it's dry. Still handles well enough to make driving enjoyable on the warmer winter days…
