I think Edd is awesome, and his bits are often my favorite part of Wheeler Dealers. I can see his stuff not being the most exciting part of the show to a casual viewer, though.

Yeah, I keep looking and want to grab one NOW. Many really extremely nice ones have already gone up in value, I’d grab a “nice driver” quality one, they are next.
I’ll counterpoint by insisting car prices haven’t gone up relative to inflation. Also, today’s cars seem to be built to last a lot more trouble-free years than the cars of yesterday. That leads to both not needing a new car as often, and also higher residual values to counteract the longer loan terms.
