I also have a feeling the Ecoboost version will eat into a lot of BRZ/FR-S sales, even if they come out with a higher powered variant.
The 5.0L Coyote V8 powered version with "more than 420hp" doesn't do it for you? It's not like it's a hybrid AWD flappy paddle car. It's just lost the solid rear axle.
