Is it just me or is Ralph Gilles a rockstar? Supposedly he was out to two local autocrosses in the shadow of Chrysler HQ this year, and I missed them both. From interviews it really seems like he's a real deal car guy first and a bigwig second.

I want to believe that the NSX will be a better way to make a supercar that the original was compared to the Ferraris of the day.

Meticulously obsessed over driving dynamics and changing the paradigm with simple yet clever engineering doesn't sell cars anymore. The only thing that matters is gear counts, hp numbers, and 'ring times.

I post this about once a year on Jalopnik, but Ford goofed with the 427 concept. It evolved into the fwd Ford 500. Chrysler basically made this concept as the 300C. One is still around today.

Would have been so much cooler if it kept the Fairlane name.
