I just put new floorpans, Dynamat, carpet, weatherstripping, and a stereo into my 1970 F250 after years of driving around with bare floorboards with fist-sized rust holes in them. It feels like a fucking Bentley to me now! 

I saw one of these at an auto-cross once, and thought it was really cool. It was cool it made all sorts of whooshy noises. It was cool because of its age. It was cool that somebody would show up in such a big car to autocross.

Did these come out of the factory with the body panels completely mismatched like this? The rear bumper looks like a different color than the rest of the car, the lines are off, there’s massive panel gap, and the whole thing looks crooked. Guess this was a “Friday car?”

Get rid of the light entirely, and just have a message on one of the mandatory vehicle displays (all 2019+ cars must have a backup camera, so there’s a screen somewhere in the driver’s view) that says what the problem is in plain English “Cylinder 4 misfire”, “ignition system error”, and then flashes a QR code on the…

Counterpoint: the check-engine light is fucking great and we should never let go of it, even as we enter the EV age. It should be one of those amazing things that lives on long after its real-world counterpart dies.

Ferrari is also using a physical button that you can feel without looking at it. Tesla is using capacitive buttons that feel no different from the rest of the wheel, which is way worse.

Rare != NP. It’s an interesting car to see but I’m not sure why anyone would want it. Too old to be Radwood worthy, maybe an interesting cars & coffee car but there are a lot more $5000 cars out there that would be more fun on a daily basis.
