Indoctrination is a thing. She was pretty much a kid when she had anti-lgbt views. Also her positions are very far left, but if you look at the other scale of libertarian vs authoritarian, she’s on the libertarian side, which is why she has support across the aisle.

I actually love this Godzilla design. Funny that the Legendary Godzilla (especially with the tweaks in KotM) is more traditional than the latest Japanese versions (Shin and Earth).
