This I agree with!
Never was it free. Your frustrations are born from the same lies that Cliven Bundy’s grand ideas were born from: that once upon a time men were men, women made corn muffins and land was free.
But the football stadium injustice is directly related the Bundy’s “land grab” nonsense, just not the way you think. The common denominator is greed. Simple greed. It’s people trying to get theirs and those people (who have mostly gotten theirs) are tricking you into arguing their case for them.
Stop quoting whoever you have been listening to rage against “the feds.” They have tricked you (or someone has tricked them) into thinking it is unfair for the government, acting on the behalf of the people, to protect land that should belong to everyone to enjoy and appreciate. Your hero ranchers are more interested…
What are “the feds” doing with all this land they are claiming? Selling it to aliens? Where is it going? Oh, nowhere! You just want to graze your cattle on it for free and suddenly “It’s a land grab!!” Go back to Brietbart.
I kind wish your stars for this comment went straight to hivenation. Fuck yourself stars.
Agreed. I always felt slightly stupid for not seeing how he was a “visionary.”
It’s not a huge stretch to end up with two kids’ movies that have butterflies and lions. If you watched kids stuff daily like I do, you would see that butterflies are like the universal signal for cute and cuddly when they are fluttering around another animal. Plus maybe butterflies really do hang with lions all the…
The Lion King is based on Hamlet, not an obscure japanese cartoon. Kimba and Simba being similar triggers no alarms whatsoever. What are the odds afterall that two studios would use names that sound perfectly at home in a movie about lions? I don’t know if you watch a lot of kid’s stuff as an adult but I have a…
You win my internet for the day. And today’s a frickin’ holiday!
It’s because we are living in a mentality of zero-sum in this country. You have to pick Fisher or Michael. Your choice will of course signal to the rest of us that you are racist/sexist/ageist or a turtle.
Its the ten minutes of not breathing that has me (and my nurse girlfriend) worried. Our guess is she must be on life support currently. The brain doesnt do well with no oxygen for that long.
I feel like that is totally consistent with King’s work. Often villians have an artificial quality to them in his books.
Rope. Take a rope.
We ALL float. And down here, Nicole, you’ll float too!
This show was fantastic. For me the moment that sold me was in the first episode when they decide to turn the ship around with spacey physics and the harnesses come up to cradle their heads. I just thought right then this show was gonna rock.
The first two are bigger names than James Badge Dale, so it’s totally reasonable you’d have seen them before. I mean, if you have watched TV or movies at all in the last twenty years.
Well, you are correct actually. She DID let go of the hope he would come back because she knows now what happened to him. Thus the significance of the final question. The “problem” with your version is that there is no reason for the woman to let go, so no poignancy, just a gratuitous change of heart.
Do you have this list?
