    It is infuriating that this wasn’t a message in the 2016 campaign. The reality is that Trump is not a deal-maker, he is just a con artist who bluffs his way through everything. (And he’s not even a good con artist -- his bluffs are so ridiculously bad that I’m continually amazed that so many people fall for them.)

    I’m starting to think that maybe we should have just let the South leave the Union. With a generous refugee policy for slaves escaping from the South, and a generous immigration policy for enlightened Southerners. Imagine the policies we could advance as a united, liberal nation without the South dragging us down.  

    Looking forward to hearing this from Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III in a few months: “I can’t believe some guy wearing black robes in Appalachia thinks that public schools should not have policies ‘respecting an establishment of religion,’ I don’t know where he gets that idea.”
