Haha, I never realized trucks/SUVs didn’t have to pay gas guzzler tax.  That’s ridiculous, I agree, if it exists it should be applied across the board.  There’s no distinction between cars and SUVs anymore anyway.

Outside of the US, Chrysler is a fucking joke and Fiat is a major global brand. I would be shocked if the Fiat brand disappeared.

I’ve been watching really old Wheeler Dealer episodes on late night TV when they were still in GB and barely making 1000 profit and shot in old 4:3 ratio.

Consider me stoked. I’ve never watched the 2000s-era Top Gear and just recently stumbled onto clips of OG Top Gear on YouTube. The holidays are enough time to catch up on two decades of British motoring television, right? RIGHT?!

The IIHS should also add vehicles to this list which do not have an automated headlights on feature. Following a car with no tail-lights is troubling, especially on unlit roadways. Cannot count how many times I’ve driven behind someone who thinks their headlights are on because the DRL’s are illuminating the road…

True. But in Europe a US-style pickup truck is a bit of a clown car with a very niche demographic. In the US they are replacing minivans.

Aussie here. Our cities can get pretty tight too but it’s a big country. Plenty of families like to take a 4 hour drive with the kids and camping gear in tow to find a quiet bit of countryside or beach to crush tinnies on the weekend.

The NRA has made it very clear that there is no way to stop people in this country from buying death machines.

People talk about spending public money to benefit the public as if it’s some sort of scandal.

Denmark? a national debt of just 141 billion USD? with a debt to gdp ratio 1/3 that of the US?  A minimum wage double the US?

Or... they have a relatively wealthy government that actually has an interest in helping the population and improving their quality of life. I suppose that does feel like a foreign concept these days...
