The funny thing is, 550 GTS was built by Prodrive without any assistance from Ferrari. Ferrari responded with 575 GTC, and yet, it had never managed to beat the 550.

You are right; that’s why I think it makes more sense to be a Cadillac. And if it doesn’t reach the selling expectations, it can be killed off much more easily than Corvette.

Alternatively, it might not impact the Corvette sales as much, but instead be a competitor to the Germans and Italians.

New DOHC engine is said to be named LT5 (I don’t know if that is confirmed or still a rumour).

One thing that would support the theory is their DPi car. I think that whole project has a very positive impact on the Cadillac brand, which might prepare people for a new sports car.

It should have this type of front-end styling:

It can build both the Corvette and Cadillac models. I presume it’s the GM’s best/only facility to build a new mid engined sports car of any brand.

Regarding the 2nd question, a mid engined Cadillac would seem like a perfect solution for a brand that seems to be going through a bit of a “repositioning”.

Have you ever seen a Porsche driver?

2 important questions:

They are giving their best to make up for the power unit deficiencies with a good chassis design, but is still not enough. Most of their positives this year were due to Alonso pushing like crazy.

Nobody said it was easy, but if you have the budget, expertise and 3.5 years of time, and you still don’t deliver, you are a failure.

Just another case of sudden unintended acceleration I’ve-confused-the-pedals.

Yes, my mistake on that one.

Compare their statements with those of the Toyota LMP1 team in 2015.

If you repeat it enough times, you start to believe it.

Prior to the 2016 season, there was a lot of talk on how Honda’s F1 PU budget got significantly increased, any like I said, their technological expertise and prior/current record elsewhere.

I want them to shut up and do their work.

Basically:
My goal is to have a Ferrari, a mansion and a yacht in the next few years. Given that I have stated it so clearly, and regardless of my presently unfavourable financial situation and a history of empty statements and false promises, who are you to doubt to me or say that I won’t reach my goal?
