I won’t be renting from Hertz this summer or ever again. Even after 20+ years of loyalty and multiple years as five star and presidents circle status, I’ve shifted all my rental car spending to Avis.

Why, WHY would you rent with this horrible company when there is a non-zero chance you could be arrested just for being a customer?

Coincidentally, cities with Hertz Rental Car locations are expected to have a 20% increase in wrongful arrests for car theft.

At this price it should be damn near flawless. The apparent condition puts this 2 or 3 times too expensive.

Let me start by saying I’ve owned several of these in sedan trim. They are fantastic cars that still manage to look and drive modern-ish without diluting the driving experience or muffling too much of that wonderful 5 pot sound. And when maintained, they are pretty reliable and capable of the big 6 figure mileages.

who would have guessed that “move fast and break things” would be of more consequence in a social media than in space travel

Yet not nearly as much of a failing falling fireball as Twitter.... so success?

I try to fly on Asian airlines any time I fly to Asia versus any American airline. The attention to detail, the aircraft, seats, IFE, staff, food, and service are miles beyond anything American airlines offer.

And the thing is that I have friends from all over: Europe, parts of Asia, etc. Compared to just about everywhere else the US has the SHITTIEST airlines in terms of comfort, service and everything else. I’ve flown on only two foreign airlines: British Airways and Aeromexico. BOTH leaps and bounds better than any

Don’t forget the Nanaimo bars and ketchup chips.

squeeze in a few more of these

I think the Mustang GT might have a little too much. I have seen the cars and coffee videos. I saw one stuck in an intersection during the weirdo ice storm in TX when the grid went down. even with the car just idling in drive, it just spun its wheels doing the world’s slowest donuts and blocked both streets for

Primary factor is age of the underground storage tanks (USTs), which you won’t be able to find out without pulling permits and other specialist data, and quality of the installation, which you won’t be able to learn until the system fails. I have family in the hydrogeology and remediation fields, and some of the fuel s

As someone who teaches EFI systems and diag, I can tell you that a good chunk of my job is explaining how utterly shit the US fuel infrastructure really is.

Thankfully, this owl is safe after getting to spend some time away from Florida.

Turns out you can get the-ah from he-ah, but you have to go through feckin’ New Hampshire.

Yeaaaaaaahhhhhh! Interstate Commerce Clause!

The only way I would find this silly old law acceptable is this:

The commission is looking to change the law to give passenger trains an exemption from the state’s ban on serving liquor purchased in neighboring states.”

“What if we just eliminated this stupid fucking law altogether?”
“No.”
