It's clear that she got that reaction because she is a woman, but, you simply do not touch people you are protesting against. It's wrong for them to touch her (without consent) and its wrong for her (and the other man who I presume is on her side) to touch them (without consent).

You don't spit on people, obviously. You also don't try and put your arm around the guys you're protesting. Bad ideas all around.
