You wanna get out more, mate.
You wanna get out more, mate.
He probably had a rough idea of what he was doing in the navy
This really is the best bit of on-the-face-of-it weird casting since the woman playing the male dwarf in Year of Living Dangerously
Yeah, it's not actually all that good. I got it when it came out, you can have my copy.
I'm not exempting it from criticism, whatever that means, I'm just saying I liked it.
I just don't have any problem with plots advancing because people make seemingly stupid decisions.
Thanks for the thoughts
That is the stock reaction, to be honest.
It's got half an hour in the middle that's as intense as anything I can recall in recent times, and the underlying themes are relentlessly bleak.
It doesn't really have any characters, does it? There's the woman from Mad Max, some slightly offbeat cannon fodder, Guy Pearce incomprehensibly in old man makeup, Idris Elba doing his thing. Michael Fassbender's character is fairly well realised.
the opening bit with the genetic poison eating thing was like something you'd use to show off Blu-ray in a shop, if it didn't involve a 7ft tall naked guy exploding. Even all the ridiculous action film stuff made it enjoyable, for me.
it did fall victim to a certain school of film criticism that says plot holes and canon inconsistency are the worst thing that a film can have but I loved it. It was like an art movie made with a billion dollars.
Ooh no, I thought Alien 3 was shit. Alien, Aliens, Prometheus. I just try to forget I saw the other ones.
Bonehead and Giggsy?
They should have gone with The Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel
Don't then
Hey, try saying that to your black friends
The fact you're discussing it suggests not
The opening 15 minutes or so of Irreversible didn't do me any good but I literally fainted during 28 Hours and Antichrist.
I appreciate what Nathin Raban is trying to do here, but in all seriousness, you cannot say that a joke about men trying to dodge a succession of elephant penises, whilst hiding inside a giant vagina, is homophobic.
