From your comments I am gathering that you are maybe white - I don't think you get to decide this.

I can see your point on some level, but it really does seem like an argument over semantics about a word that is slowly becoming "bad." Human beings won't stop grouping people together, especially when there are really important differences between us, they'll just find a new word to do it.
But if a specific medical issue affects 99% of a certain "race" (whatever you want to call it, since this is an argument about semantics), is that information not medically worth something? Or is the issue just that "race" is a bad word now and we need to use a different one?
In most black people, that polymorphism speeds up the development of HIV. Better?
If I had posted some Bell Curve-style pseudoscience, then maybe you'd have a point, but I didn't and I have no interest in doing that. Unless you have any evidence that disproves what I did post, do me a favor and fuck off. Like I said, nothing I posted was even close to being racist, unless disagreeing with the OP…
I don't even know what that is supposed to mean.
I have written two things to MizJenkins today. One was in disagreement with her, the other was in agreement with her (and she clicked 'recommend' in response).
I'm only invested in proven facts, not social scientists trying to make people feel good while justifying their funding.
Nothing that I wrote was even remotely racist, but nice try. Keep pretending to be a black guy on Gawker, white troll.
Whenever someone gets called a prick on the internet, I always do a Google Images search to see if they do indeed look like a prick. I looked up Keith Bradsher's photo and I'm only getting a "Maybe a prick?" vibe from him.
Don't mind me, I'm a jerk.
I read the entire thing months ago. It's trash. She might make a few valid points in it, but I'm tired of people thinking it's cute to call women "bitches," and I'm even more tired of people calling an entire race of women "bitches." It just adds to the problem. The same points could be made in a more civil way, and…
Been staring for five minutes and I still haven't found Waldo.
People who think there are foolproof ways to avoid bad interactions with the police are almost always people who have had very few interactions with the police.
There is a tendency to overcompensate for one's embarrassment when a child makes an offensive racial comment by lavishing excessive praise on the target.
Because "race" is one of the falsest of False Science thangs that there can be.
That's junk science.
I don't think people should be taking advice from a woman who wrote "Why White Bitches Are the Most Basic of All," Jenkins. Sit your ignorant ass down.
It might take some time, but the phrase "people of color" is going to sound backward/offensive as hell in about 20 years. It's just "colored" for a a new generation.
No, we can. The Egyptians can't.
