Took ‘em long enough but on the other hand....wooooooot!

You are free to make your own choices, and live by the consequences of those choices.

Your parental rights stops when your actions, or inactions, have direct consequences for society at large. This isn’t the state telling you to put braces on your daughters teeth, or forcing you to feed her meat. This is the government protecting the rest of us from the potential of a widespread outbreak.

Does anyone have any good book recommendations about the British or American suffragette movement??

Exactly my thought. I hate the why, but this money is absolutely going to be better spent given to a group that actually does fucking research.

A friend of mine was president many years ago of the Dallas chapter which is one of the largest. She doesn’t have many positive things to say about her experience and she is a breast cancer survivor. I am pro choice but I donate my money for cancer research elsewhere after talking to her.

I first learned about suffragettes from Mrs. Banks and the “Sister Suffragette” song.

I am so excited. The Brits were quite a bit more violent than their US counterparts, and the Pankhurst women were really interesting historical figures (even though they aren’t the focus of the film). Plus the line, “war is the only language men listen to”

This looks FUCKING AMAZING!

NO I DON’T KNOW WHAT HE IS IMPLYING ABOUT INA HELP ME

This is it exactly. Your child, your choice? Fine. But if you choose to opt out of the part of the social contract where you vaccinate your kid so that everyone else is protected from them spreading pathogens, you also have to opt out of the part where you get your child educated for free in a group environment where

I am angered every time I see assholes like this who are fighting for the right to not vaccinate their children. Meanwhile there are millions of parents elsewhere who walk for hours, without shoes, to get their children vaccinated. I’ve said this before here, but yeah, it still infuriates me to no end when I see this

That’s what this law requires, basically. Vaccinate or homeschool: your choice.

Anti-vaxxers make me so angry. If you don’t want to vaccinate, then don’t. But like all choices, there are consequences. You should should expect to deal with limitations on where you can let your little bundle of infection expose other people.

If I lived there, I’d vote the same way. I am an immune-compromised person, and cannot get certain vaccines. One of my cousins, who I love dearly, is an anti-vaxxer and refuses to vaccinate her children. It pains me to say it, but I have to tell her “I love you cuz, but I cannot be around your kids because whatever

My Child My Choice!
