I think part of it is market positioning by Hyundai/Kia. They want Kia to be more up-market than Hyundai, therefore they don’t rebate them as much.

Kia is problematic for me. I like their product overall. When I was in the market for a warm-to-hot hatch last year, I was looking at the FoST, Elantra GT and the Kia Forte 5 SX.
