If I'm dreaming, anything's game. I'd probably never spend that on a car, because I'm a cheap ass, but I'd certainly take it for free and learn to rebuild it as best I could.
Yup, 06.
I'll ask him. I had an 07 LS2, and you're right, so it must have been an 06. My mistake!
Ah, he blips it, just no braking, clutching, and rev matching at the same time. I was really thinking of getting a truck, but you're right, rev matching makes me smile too much to get rid of the car... As for the GTO, super under-rated. People mostly hated the looks of it, though. At least from talk around the water…
At least you're probably in the torque, somewhat. Buddy has a 07 GTO and those pedals are WAY far apart, but I have never felt the need to H/T since it's got gobs of torque. Never been on a track or pushed it hard, though.
I have 12's, and do the same, but I will say a standard heel-toe should be used at the track. I learned the hard way, braked and revved at the same time... hard. Works great everywhere else, though.
Looks a tad under-inflated.
Which airport? Been "working" on my PPL for a few years out of KEYQ, then KIWS.
Good, cheaper C7's sooner.
Ah, I somehow skipped that. TY.
I like it, and if you hit your fog lights, it stretches the distance out a little more. It would have to have a bypass for when you're stopped, though.
I can see this test on TG already, and Clarkson finding the tow points while it's buried... ouch...
I think they did it because it was fun. Most here know the two cars in the comparison, and they did it just because the cars can both be fun. It's not comparing a 458 to a Sierra 2500 or anything like that, these are just similar enough to made a nice Friday read after people get back from lunch and prep for the long…
Commas change everything.
Only in the torque dip, the rest of the power band is fine.
I have appreciated it, tracked it, road tripped in it, and had a blast in it. I don't think it needs to have that torque curve. Just because I don't like it means you have to go attacking me because you're fine with it. Different strokes for different folks.
Nope, I still bought mine with the plan to keep it mostly stock for a while. Header and tune kill the dip, and now that it's back, it's just a nuisance. You must downshift to pass, because it's just dead between 3-5K. It's still fun, but could have been fixed with ease by Toyota/Subaru with a tune.
Yup, it's brutal. Went back to stock and hating life until I sell it.
