Eh, two sides to this coin. My buddy and I often talk of days gone by where “you controlled the machine, no nannies or shifting was done for you.” It depends. Viper and 911 turbo were brutal back in the day if you lost traction. We’re getting faster and faster and most people don’t work on their shifts or they just

I don’t think any public transit has a one seat bus...

Open air vs a tight space can lead to louder levels. Think of shooting a gun indoors vs outside. Check out this link. They did analysis and found helmets to be louder than without. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-hel…

We got off on the wrong foot. I have a helmet you can borrow, and we’ll go on a private course and I’ll take you up to 80 mph. You put the helmet on and stick your head out of the window and then you’ll see it is LOUD. I upgraded my helmet 6 months back and it helped, but NC would be a godsend in these things.

Unless I’m mistaken, noise cancelling tech is based on destructive interference, so it negates the waves altogether. Think of a pool with the waves’ crests meeting the troughs and cancelling out.

Wind noise, not bike noise. Learn about the subject before you talk about it.

Moving to an apartment complex, shit I need to get some locks/figure out where I can chain it...

I had Boston - Peace of Mind going and it was pretty awesome, but I turned it off to hear the jets. Slight disappointment, but I just put Boston back on. These guys have the best shit paying job in the world.

Sat in the clone in Midland, found out I could never be a racecar driver. I couldn’t even fit. They’re in the petroleum museum if you’re ever in the armpit of Texas.

They don’t even care.

ALWAYS use jack stands.

You don’t need a lawyer to transfer guns in most states. If you want them off the streets, then do the buyback stuff.

My angst was towards the article, but I pointed it towards you, sorry about that. I agree 100%.

Then that should have been what was on the list, not “Loud Exhaust.”

That I can agree with. Just seemed the comment section yesterday was “stock exhaust or you’re the shittiest human on earth” and I just didn’t understand the hypocrisy. Viper shooting flames and loud, no sweat. R1 doing the same, just an asshole.

Until yesterday, I thought a tasteful exhaust on a bike would be something Jalopnik could understand. It’s not the mod that’s the issue; it’s the guy who revs the piss out of it for no reason at a light. Aftermarket pipes remove weight and free up power, just like in a car. Do I want mine as quiet as possible? Yes

I saw my second one yesterday (silver). I swear I see it way less than exotics.
