On a map, Elgin I think is more properly east of Austin, rather than being northeast. The city of Austin sprawls pretty far and wide on a map.

It’s interesting that this is considered “forgotten”. I remember it as being the only version of the Hummer that I actually liked. It reminded me a bit of an updated Jeep J10 (obviously no where near as pretty - but on par with other updates of the time).

I saw that video too (I chose not to embed it here considering it’s basically watching people die) and yeah, it really does look like something really wrong was happening. I hope the investigation actually turns out a real explanation.

China Eastern is a good airline with a good safety standard reputation. They rely on a lot of foreign travelers to stay profitable, so I hope they’ll insist on an honest and up front investigation.
