I’m glad they did the experiment. Yes, it didn’t work, but that’s why it was an experiment. Some limitations were known - efficiency, sub-optimal sunlight, etc. Many of the variables were unknown - resin durability, tire noise, etc. The test was conducted, results derived. This is a win IMO.

Also, if you haven’t ridden a $2000 plus road bike, don’t comment on how useful it is. $2000 isn’t even expensive for a road bike these days.

Every law in every state says that bikes have as much right to car travel lanes as cars when there aren’t bike lanes, and most laws prohibit biking on sidewalks.

The thing is, if a cyclist breaks the rules, or gets mad, or whatever, and hits your car, you get some damage to your car. If a driver gets mad and hits a cyclist, well, that’s a lot worse.

Don’t race those on the street either. If you must drive a Caliber competitively, I recommend demolition derbies.

Honestly, I’d prefer they said something about the people they personally work with instead of hiding behind a letterhead. I’ll believe NAPO when I see black cop not just standing around (or joining in) when one of his colleagues is abusing their authority.
