I love how people are painting this as a result of JK Rowling’s rants and the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard fight when even the first one, done before all of this became high-profile talking points, was largely met with a resounding “Eh, it exists, I guess” reaction.

What bothers me is that no one wants to talk about how cabbagehead RAPED AND KILLED A GIRL IN 1990!

My problem is that seemingly every comment thread here begins with “Fuck _____,” staking out one’s own righteousness for refusing to engage with something because one of its participants has offended in some way.

Gibson’s career clearly took a big hit because of his unhinged, anti-Semitic behavior. He totally deserved it, but I think it’s a stretch to cite Gibson as evidence that these sort of scandals don’t negatively affect people’s careers, or that Depp need not worry about damage to his career from Heard’s accusations.

What point do you think you’re trying to make? Do you think there’s anyone in these comment sections that’s going to go to bat for Bryan Singer?

The 4 I listed are all incredible beyond vocals. I’ve seen Shinedown, Slipknot and Nothing More in concert many times. I’ve also seen videos of Nightwish performances as they dont’ come to the States much.
