S'ok. I was just making sure you weren't quoting me because I never used those words and took great care not to.

Fair enough. I would contend that "mildly pretentious" is putting it way too mildly though.

A former coworker of mine had a wonderful description of them (which I unfortunately can't remember in full) where he likened them to Hitler Youth which sounded about right if not for the whole Godwin's law thing.

The way the absurdities just keep ratcheting up in hilarity is practically sadistic.

I have a vivid memory of having a rather frightening laughing fit the first time I watched the "Space Madness" ep of Ren & Stimpy. It was one of those tears in eyes, desperately gasping for breath kind of laughs that seemed like it wouldn't end before I either passed out or died. Dead at 17 from being hopped up on Ren

I always found the prospect of whether or not Remington Steele would take his shirt off in any given episode to be the height of drama.

Yes, indeed.

It's hard to argue with sound logic.

This reminds me of a scene in Hard Target where Jean Claude Van Damme climbs a fence in the French Quarter and lands somewhere on the West Bank when he clears it. If I remember correctly, you can even see the Mississippi River Bridge in the distance except Van Damme apparently didn't need to cross it to get from one

Those two in the middle are serving broken doll pose zombie realness!

Bonafide fucking classic.

Maybe in the edited for tv version.

"Don't fuck with The Lords of Hell."

"Don't fuck with the babysitter."

So this isn't a sequel to the main menu of the Mean Girls dvd?

That fan-made vid is fantastic. OPN has gotta love it too. I would if I were him.

Thanks for this.

Oneohtrix Point Never continues to enchant.

I also seem to recall him describing the experience as something Krissi could cross off her bucket list so it's more like "I'll let you eat at one of my restaurants. I guess you can go die now."

So did Joe congratulate Krissi for her overall performance in the competition or for the fact that he just invited her to dine at Del Posto with him and his mom? Was that sloppy editing or was Joe just being Joe?
