Yeah, but it doesn't have a lingering shot of Nick Nolte's ass. Don't judge. I had to take gratuitous male nudity wherever I could get it. It was the 80's.

Love this flick and have been thinking about it a lot lately, especially when I stumbled on Ruthless People a few months ago on cable and recalled that Down & Out was a much better flick. I had a thing for Bette Midler comedies in the 80's. How could one not?
Yes! Or how about "Scarlet" by Lush. *swoon*
Hear, hear! Shoegaze has a way of transporting me back to my youth that some other (sub)genres of music don't. And for that I am forever a fan.
This is hitting so many nostalgia buttons right now. Pretty damn good, I say.
@avclub-993f6ac760ffd6c09413c22f4f4aa627:disqus I see what you did there. Here, let me try:
"Just the right mix of cheese and soul" is just the right description of the Steve & Eydie version.
I adore that "Black Hole Sun" cover, especially Eydie's part. I've listened to it more times than sense dictates, mostly so I can hear her croon "won't you cooooome…wash awaaaaaay…the rain" in the second part of the chorus. So many sighs. R.I.P., lovely lady.

Honestly, I'm kind of sick of all of the people in the top 6, even the ones I kinda like. I don't get the vitriol for Bime. Sure, he's not the strongest or most competent cook, but he seems like a decent guy. Still, a number of contestants talk about him as if he should be eliminated from the human race and not just…
Hilarious and fabulous!
Seriously, how cute is he?!
Can you recommend a pairing for Champipple?
Is anyone else distracted by Lil' Mama's "light-skinned face?" Cuz…awkward.
No argument there. Good thing they cast Rosemarie Dewitt then, eh?
This whole remake business of one of my favorite horror movies of all time is so wrong but, as casting for the imminent shit show goes, Rosemarie Dewitt in the JoBeth Williams role is kinda right.
This is slick. I'm not getting disco from it so much as early 80's R&B which might be splitting hairs given its proximity to that era. The horns remind me a lot of George Benson's "Turn Your Love Around." Diggin' it.
The Iron Throne doesn't answer to your beck and call. But no, it didn't show up for me either. Had to go to the io9 link to see it.
All Hell is one of a handful of 2012 releases I'm still stuck on and easily the most unique album I heard last year. I'd like to hear your take on the new one. I want to know how it reads to someone else who was enchanted by AH.
I have to agree somewhat wholeheartedly with this review. I say somewhat because I'm still holding out hope that this will turn into the follow-up to All Hell that I was excited to hear. It may be a bit better than a "C" but when considering what it had the potential to be that sounds about right. Oh well.
