My first thought when I read that.

This is code for "the paperwork is taking longer than I thought and I don't wanna piss anybody off."

Can someone please explain the hate for the ILX to me? The GTI can be optioned up to 32k, and hardly any of you bat an eye at that. And at that price, it's still missing options that the 30k ILX has. Just because they split it apart into 2 models doesn't make it any worse of a business practice, in fact, I'd say you…
As a person who loves the LS7, to the point of wanting one swapped into a Cruze, I see the value of the engine. However, I don't see why if you were going to drop that much on an LS7 equipped car, why you wouldn't buy a Corvette Z06. I mean the Z06 is faster, handles better, and still has all of the creature comforts…
Exactly what I was thinkin. Moreso, the people complaining about how aluminum isn't "rugged" enough really don't understand truck buyers nowadays. Trucks are hardly ever used a trucks in today's age. They're "lifestyle vehicles" now, and this will be perfect for lifestyle customers.
7000? I say 8000. And actually if they use a DI DOHC 1.5l engine with high-cam VTEC, that's about where the peak power would be. Somewhere in the 7600-7900 range.
Turbos pervert the torque curve. To me it's a completely unnatural feel when driving. I don't like the plateaus that they have. I like the way an NA engine pulls to the top of its powerband and then runs out of breath. It just feels organic to me.
Oh yes. I will take an NA engine that I can wind out over a turbocharged lump every day.
To be honest, my dream FieSTa woulda had a 175hp version of the Focus engine.
Who else is offering NA engines anymore? The Fiesta ST, Abarth, and Sonic RS all have turbo mills with sub-7k redlines. Yeah, not at all like what I want.
I just want a 160-170hp N/A fit with a 6-speed and old-school Honda dynamics. Is that too freakin much to ask, Honda?!
It's the first CVT. But they used to have a God-awful 4speed auto as well.
The WRX had an auto for a long time. In fact, I think 09 wad the first year without. And even then it still carried on in the Impreza GT.
If they could make it diesel without AdBlue and hook it up to a manual, I'd fight you for first in line.
I wish they had kept the K20Z line in production for this reason. This car with my Si's engine would be a rocket. And then it would be in the same tax bracket as the current 1.5 I believe.
I've been saying for 2 years now that we need them to bring this truck over. Hopefully the Colorado will be a success, and the small truck market will come back into play, and VW will make the right decision.
I said they'd never go back to their high revving NA engines. Re-read it.
The Civic Si is still sub-3000 lbs. I don't know where you got 3300. That's talking in Accord territory.
