That's comparing the top Camry to the base Vette. If you compared the top Camry to the ZR1 or the base Vette to the Camry I4 it would get very ugly very quickly.

It may only provide 16 extra hp at the peak, but greater gains at different points in the curve. Remember, speed is not determined by peak, but by the area under the curve.

Well I wasn't referring to beauty. I prefer the look of the Escape. I just meant that the Rav4 still has a bit of that rugged personality.

That's weird. I did a GIS for S2000 shifter and the ball with red lettering popped up as an image from a Top Gear article about shifters with the page about the S2000. So maybe it was a EDM/ JDM thing?

I don't know, the Rav4 seems to be more styled to give the impression of utility. The Escape pretty much doesn't give that impression. At all.

A Golf with a 9000 rpm redline doesn't sound all that bad...
