The "hybrid system" probably won't be a real hybrid. They're developing a new system for cars like the TL where it's a gas engine to the front wheels and motors on the backs.

I actually prefer the front end on the 2006-07 WRX line. I think it's the best looking one yet. But style is all subjective.

Yeah it's the SOHCs, but thats pretty much their whole lineup now. :/

I'm just saying, aren't there people looking for jobs there too? Time to do some hiring/ firing...

The S2000 was an F series engine. Not nearly as advanced as the Ks. And now that Honda is adding direct injection, I'm sure 230-240 and 30mpg is very feasible out of a k24.

Toyota GT 86 > Subaru BRZ > Scion FR-S

They made far too many compromises with the new Civic. Attempting to take from everyone is how it ended up being that blob of a thing.

250? No. But I think 230 wouldn't be unrealistic. And the real vtec engines have always been efficient outside of the range. The problem is with the new vtec, the switch is usually at ~3k. With a high revving engine, you'll be cruising in vtec, bad gas. Honda needs to actually take more from the old high revving

I know. I was so disappointed when I saw it was a trunk. Both the Celica and the AE86 were hatchback/ lift back designs, and I was really hoping that would carry over.

The skyline conversion's always been my favorite because people don't get it. Everyone's like I've never seen a Nissan like that before!

If I do the badge swap, it probably will be to just the 86. Or maybe even to hachiroku if a company comes out with the badges for it.

Almost no crossover is. The Tiguan is a golf on stilts, the crv is a civic on stilts, etc etc.

This car needs a 100hp/liter k16 or k18. Stat!

Exactly. But it's still little compared to the other elephants. Mini is dueling with the Golf at the size of the Polo. That's its thing. Not just being absolutely small.

I'm hoping GT-S 86 for an extra dose of Toyota heritage ;)

Quit saying that! They'll catch on and jack up the price!

I'm pretty sure the one all the way to the right is just an adorned foot rest.

I definitely owe you an apology. Sorry dude, I was thinking hatch implied hatchback. Like a liftback design.

Mini does not always need to be mini. For an SUV this is Mini. It's mini for the segment. Why do most people not understand that?

But it is Mini. In a world where everyone has an SUV available that is the size of the original Suburban, a crossover the size of a Golf *IS* Mini.
