7k is not the redline. It's just the HP peak. It may rev to 7.5 or 7.6k before redline.

Exactly. The fwd guys got a semi successor in the tC. Even though most people said it fell short, the base tC was an evolution of the GT, and with the trd upgrades (especially the super or turbo) it could be considered in line with the GT-S.
