As ridiculous and drawn out this has been i’m like still rooting for them to get one on the road. Maybe Polaris should just buy them out and dump this thing on a Slingshot chassis.. Something detuned obviously to keep costs at their “target”.

Dad of 2 here and just took delivery of a ‘17 Golf R 6MT. I know it’s a hot hatch and one heck of an automobile.I thought the hot hatch was the dad compromise car?

I bought my ‘17 Golf R 2 weeks ago and have nearly 700 miles on it. I don’t care what people say about it, I love it and it sounds amazing. I traded my E46 M3 for this car, so engine noise is something that is important to me. It’s nice also that if you’re not in the mood, you can just turn it off.

TL;DR?

It’s massively ugly and slower than a Prius. In what universe is this better than the Volkswagen?
