Can attest to the appeals of a Z3M Roadster. No, it doesn’t have the panache of a Coupe, but it makes the same noises and is still uncommon enough that mine gets plenty of comments during the summer.

I hadn’t played in yeeeeaaaaaaarrrrrrssss until reading about JPOG jogged my memory — I used to play it all the time when I was in elementary school with my very tech-savvy cousin.

Anyone remember the OG dino park game, DinoPark Tycoon?

That lead photo... bleh. The front wheels and tires look about 3 sizes too small to support the visual weight of that front end.

Don’t forget about the stupid little kid dolls looking into hoods or wheel wells or getting trapped under a tire...

And the winning times were...?

That’s a fine looking Z4 Coupe.

“You’ve been discovered by the Xenomorph!  Stay hidden for $0.99!”

I really appreciate it!

I really appreciate it! My setup is a decidedly low-tech, cheap solution...

I had been trying to reply to your comment from the other thread but Kinja was being Kinjatastic - i’m definitely going to check your crew out!

I like these! What do you use to create the painted effect?

Agreed! It’s another way to get a feel for the composition you want on the very very cheap.

I regularly dig through the bin-o-Hot Wheels at the grocery store. I’ve muscled little kids out of the way to get the choiciest cars.

The best camera’s the one you have with you, and there’s macro lens sets you can get that will fit your camera if you want to give close-up shots a try on the cheap... though I like your magnifying glass idea!

Holy hell, this made my entire day. I hope others find it useful.

That’s exactly what I love doing! Getting enough DOF with a macro (without focus stacking) is an awesome challenge.

I’m digging hard on that Tyrrell photo.

For automotive photography, Hot Wheels cars make fantastic subjects to practice physical composition and software techniques. You get the benefit of playing with toys, paired with a subject that can be easily re-positioned in the comfort of your home.

Bullshit.  Properly roasted, they’re a soft-on-the-inside-crispy-on-the-edges sweet treat.  Add a little salted butter and you’ve successfully accomplished a “vegetable” side dish that tastes great and adds no actual vegetable nutrition to the meal.
