Oh, yeah. Sigh. The greys are really infested with trolls, too. Ya know, if the staff wanted to get rid of the trolls, all they’d have to do is attend to the posts people complain about. Now, instead, many harmless and interesting people have to muck about in the troll-infested swamp.

The Splinter editorial diktat is that the Speaker’s only role is to serve as a role model for the rest of the party.

Until she runs, *this is a worthless post.* Barbara Lee has made absolutely no movements towards suggesting she’s even thinking of going for the Speaker position, and yet all of a sudden she’s being pushed and pushed.
Also, do people really get what the Speaker *does*? Speakers corrals votes, pushes folks to support

But Nick’s fe-fe’s are doing much better, thank you!

I’m so glad we all got grayed so that bad trolls could live.

You’re still grey too?

I like the cut of your jib, and would subscribe to your newsletter.

Senator, don’t quit your day job...checks notes and sees she’s a US senator...on second thought, quit your day job.

If Scott Walker ate shit would that make him a cannibal?

Please state your guesses below as to which media personality is the first to publicly take this seriously. My money is on Christine Flowers.

This seems like a more substantial critique of a recently elected Democrat than “check out her transition team, nuff said libturdz.” Because (particularly that second part) is reason to think she might directly advocate for bad policy just to get a conservative reporter to stop talking, which is really bad!

“It’s an easy target because it’s rich, white bros giving themselves a platform to be liberal thought-leaders.”

There it is. And you know what? Sometimes I don’t mind a little ASMR. Nothing wrong with that.

God bless him I just actually like John Lovett...I find him positively delightful. I feel like I’m a Jewish grandmother and he’s my little papushka. As a middle-aged man that is a strange feeling and it is a little unsettling sometimes but there it is.

This. If you want to get more votes, you have to have ways of reaching different types of voters. Not every person out there is Libby or Nick like, so having more centrist appealing people out there helps get more support (and I really don’t think they’re all that centrist).

You know what, that’s fair, and I’m glad that they did.

In fairness, the Crooked media guys started the Vote Save America campaign and pushed boots on the ground activism to the tune of hundreds of thousands in donations and thousands of volunteers knocking on doors and phone banking. I don’t think  your critique of “do nothingism” is appropriate.

It’s an easy target because it’s rich, white bros giving themselves a platform to be liberal thought-leaders. Like, their podcast is fine, but it may as well be political ASMR for some folks. It’s there to reinforce that their liberal-but-not-like-radical-liberal mindset is ultimately what’s best for the country—which

It feels like Splinter spends more times reminding you Democrats Are Bad Too.

Let’s be honest, if you are going to siphon off any more white educated voters, it’s probably going to be through these guys.  I’m not a fan of the conservative Democrats but these guys aren’t it.  They’re Center-left politics bros.  Not particularly inspiring (except maybe Jon Lovett), but useful.
