All anyone had to do was watch a video posted to the 49er’s official Instagram account. It’s not exactly Woodward and Bernstein. 

In my experience playing and coaching, these are almost always misunderstandings, although I’ve come across people that refuse to shake (Coaches; supposedly adults; NEVER the kids i’ve coached or coached against).

I find it pretty despicable that Deadspin would have the nerve to point out The Athletic’s censorship in this scenario. It was only a month ago on this very site that I tried to comment on my fantasy football team only to find comments were closed. But sure, The Athletic is the asshole.

I’m not sure why you pick this one topic to (presumably derisively) attribute all the comments to “white men” talking about sports issues. Isn’t this also the whole basis for Deadspin comments?  Isn’t this something that actually most Americans agree on?  Why go looking for a divisive angle?

The headline and the last paragraph feel way incongruent with the rest of this article.
