What therefore the NBA hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
-Matthew 19:6

“We’re here tonight for an epic battle between Indiana and Milwaukee. The Bucks will be a bit shorthanded tonight, with Giannis Antetokounmpo, his brother Thanasis, Dragan Bender, and Ersan Ilyasova all deported this morning by ICE. Oddly, Pat Connaughton was also shipped out of the country for his ‘dirty, dirty Irish

I assume anything Silver has to say is in regards to finding more victims to fill the ranks of his vampiric army of the night

There is a zero percent chance that the NBAPA will ever allow the owners to control the players’ fucking communications with each other. I am highly disappointed in Silver, who I generally think is an amazing commissioner, as this is an example of plantation mentality.

the other bizarre moment of the afternoon was the duo of Trump and Rivera walking out to “Enter Sandman.”

Now that he’s Remembered a Guy, I look forward to a series on...

Trump accurately remembering something is one of the seven seals of the apocalypse

Right, no, I agree with that. I tried to phrase it in a way that it was clear that, if guilty, he is bad regardless of if she asked for money or not. I apologize if that was less than clear.

I spent about five minutes Sunday morning watching as Rex Ryan, Randy Moss, and some Hasselbeck tried explaining, in the least coherent way possible, why rape allegations don’t matter. I particularly hated the part where Rex Ryan explained how people like himself, and Bill Belichick, are too stupid to have an opinion

Deadspin needs more women writers.

Are you saying you don’t want to hear Boomer Esiasson and Phil Simms discuss the intricacies of a sexual assault allegation?

This is exactly why the NFL never should’ve started down this path in the first place. Their policy from day one should’ve been “Once the courts reach a decision, we’ll figure out what to do”. The NFL is objectively terrible at handling these things, even moreso than the justice system. Anything and everything they do

I struggle with calling Nassar a #metoo moment, but every argument against it I run through seems to fail. So, maybe you’re right?

She did mean the “Big 4" sports, and she’s absolutely right. But the NFL is going to protect all of its “cash cow” players furiously, in order to protect the product on the field.

I struggle to balance “he’s a shit person”, with “he’s an employee who has not been convicted of anything.” The second is objectively true, and the first is subjectively true. Why shouldn’t he be allowed to work while the wheels of allegation and investigation and hopefully justice continue to turn?

He can really relax now, and Focus on his Family.

I had this injury/surgery. Basically fine after the six weeks, but it’s never going to be quite the same again.

the saints deserve all the bad things for making pass interference a reviewable call.
