I think it goes a little something like this: For a medical thingy, be it a device, treatment, medicine or something other, it has to be studied across a broad range of demographics. Now, the more people you get from any particular demographic in that study, the more accurate it will be for that particular demo.

There’s really not much of anything here. The headline and the beginning of the story made it sound like Erin from The Office was burning crosses and shit. Nope, she attended some corny debutante ball thing that has a racist past. Most of the US has a racist past.

I’m with you. I feel for her. She made a stupid decision. When I was in my 20's (I know she’s in her 40's) I made the dumb decision to use dish soap to get my hair to stick straight up. It burned my scalp. I’m lucky it didn’t do permanent damage.
That being said, while I hope she doesn’t have to pay for her stupid…

Yeah...this is just really dumb. Instead of exploring her legal options, she should use the money she has raised to get some counseling. And perhaps take a few critical thinking classes. Hopefully, this will be the stupidest thing she ever does in life. Hopefully.
