nope, Not a single fan criticism I’ve read (and I’ve read many) had any expectations for Luke, Leia or any other character. They simply wanted this movie to be a sequel, i.e. honor the setup other movies have done before it.

Thank you, I am indeed an idiot who never even liked Star Wars, despite owning shelves of toys as a kid and watching the original trilogy more times than I can count. I don’t know what I was thinking, watching these movies I didn’t even like all these years. I’m glad you set me straight.
