I am in a similar situation. My job ranges from mind-numbingly dull to mildly fun. I have over 20 years in the government pension and I’m hesitant to throw it away to change careers in the private sector for only a small jump in pay. I’m not a lawyer, where the private sector pays much, much better than the public.
