Congrats to your Astros from this Yankees fan. I hope your team wins this series. I attended game 5 of the ALCS and finally saw Altuve in person. He looks like a horse jockey out there in the infield!
I agree 100%, especially if you’ve ever attended a Pirates game at Three Rivers Stadium.
That’s a fair assessment. Although I’d prefer 3 months of snow to 9 months of hot and humid myself. I’ve actually tailgated for a Steelers game in December amid snowdrifts and everyone still appeared to be having a good time. And based on my 10+ visits to Orlando, it looks like a giant strip mall full of chain stores.…
Just curious...what are your major complaints about Pittsburgh other than the crappy weather? Cost of living is really low compared to other East Coast cities (I know that Pittsburgh is 300 miles from the Atlantic Ocean).
$32m can buy a lot of falafel.
I figure the same. Electronic thieves can’t steal any money from my bank account if it is ALREADY EMPTY.
The nut probably cost $300 and needed to be shipped from Germany!
Motorists need to maintain their speed while going up a hill.
I live outside of New York City, where right turn on red is prohibited. Many of my neighbors moved to my town from NYC and they have no clue that they are permitted to turn right at a red light here in the suburbs.
If you ever drive on the Garden State Parkway in NJ, you will notice that the majority of left lane hogs have New York plates.
I would have expected a fine if the motorist was caught singing the theme to Caillou.
RI also has a track record with that stuff. Just ask Curt Schilling.
I boil a kettle of water every morning for my cuppa tea and I always pour the extra boiling water down my kitchen drain to keep it clear.
Cult? What cult?
My favorite product name was Ikea coffee, “Hela Bonor.”
I drive in North Jersey. I’ll often park or drive in wealthy suburbs looking for a fare when my Lyft app will ping in the poor town 10 minutes away. Believe me, I’d be happy to show you my driving history. Last night’s rides ended in Newark, Paterson and East Orange, although they all originated in more suburban areas…
I drive in North Jersey, which has a decent bus and rail network, but it is also very auto-dependent. I’ve asked my passengers what their bus fare is, and they tell me that it’s around $3. Many of them are only riding a short distance and their Lyft fare is $6. They tell me that they don’t enjoy waiting in the…
As a Lyft driver, I’d argue that 75% of my passengers are poor and working class people who can’t afford a car. Many of their jobs aren’t served by mass transit and/or the bus is too unsafe or slow.
I drive for Lyft and overwhelmingly most of my passengers are low-income riders who can’t afford a car. They feel that Lyft is faster and safer than the bus.
