Yeah, there was a recent story about how NC Republicans shut down early voting and voting precincts in Democratic districts while expanding it in Republican districts. That results in no wait for GOP voters, and long lines and hassles for Democratic voters (and of course they were found guilty of massive and flagrant…
yet percentages of voter turnout across multiple demographics is down (including my own Latino group). It’s actually a mix of both. Not sure I’d blame millennials specifically, but historically Democrats don’t show up to vote in non-Presidential years, so it IS ultimately lazy to just pass it off as it solely being…
You weren’t paying attention?
Richard Cordray (current head of CFPB) is rumored to possibly be considering a run for Ohio governor - but I’m hoping he doesn’t, but instead they rally behind one of the other quality candidates they have and work on the lack of name recognition.. because if Cordray leaves CFPB, Trump…
I would LOVE to see CA boot them out the state. Should be fun to see them reel back and try and steal more money from the government and other patrons.
yes, people have been made to feel that voting is pointless and that it simply doesnt matter in the big picture. But until the bulk of people wake out of this stupor, gerrymander and voter suppression will only reinforce their beliefs.
If regulators really want to hurt Wells Fargo and other bank fraudsters, they’d revoke the company’s license to do business in their state. A state like NY or California could rip Wells a new one.
I have a loan via WF Dealer Services. Wouldn’t have gone with them had I know they were this shady last year. They have a pretty antiquated website that is difficult to use and they have a separate site for you to put your proof of insurance into. All this, including setting up auto payments should be so simple and…
what is especially comical is how those confederate flag waving, Jim Crow loving, “you can’t take down the statues, they reflect our history and heritage” mouth breathers will cheer for black football players every Saturday then consider them second class and inferior once their eligibility is done. If they weren’t…
It’s almost comical just how much the south has hated, and still hates black people that this ever was a thing. God forbid someone of a different skin color has the same chances you do to have a decent life. Fuck racists.
“Don’t complain when the mobs starts marching to these companies’ front door with pitchforks and torches wanting heads to roll.”
Exactly what I was thinking. This is NOWHERE NEAR enough. I hope someone forces them to payback a lot.... like way more then these people need. Just to make an example of them
In some circumstances, in the EU, a bank like this would be put out of business and its executives jailed. This story and the fact that the fake accounts scandal is only growing. These crimes are similar to what organized crime gangs have done. I don’t care how storied its history is. Wells Fargo should not exist.
What in the ever loving fuck is wrong with this country that anyone, but specifically the people in charge think this is a remotely reasonable way to conduct business?
Queue some daft Scottish bint saying stfu because she and her husband have paid more taxes and contributed more to the economy than I have so that makes…
At what point do we start talking about hitting Wells Fargo with a RICO suit? Because it seems to me this fits the definition of a “continuing criminal enterprise.”
The market will sort this out.

Even even all of that $80M went to the people who had their cars repossessed, that’s $4,000 a person. Having your transportation stolen in the night is a little more disruptive than $4k. Some people need to go to jail over this, but of course it will never happen.
Obviously, it’s edgy. It makes people uncomfortable. But that’s good. I want people to be uncomfortable.
