Who does he think he is, James Harden ?
Who does he think he is, James Harden ?
I’m only a peripheral hockey fan but let’s not forget that on top of the four goals they also had a 3-1 lead in the series
Yep, both things can absolutely be true. It was only the second time in NHL playoff history a team had given up four goals on a five minute major, so regardless of how bad the call was (and it should have been a minor at worst), Vegas falling apart and losing is all on them.
Right. I also think it was a bad call. But Vegas’s bitching here is also a real bad look.
I’m trying to avoid responding to all the grays on this one. You’re not in the grays, but this is a response to all of them as well.
As I posted yesterday from the greys: I have no horse in the SCF this year, I felt the call was not a good call. The league has taken a lot of shit lately about head injuries - and what I saw was a ref pressured by the weight of a bleeding head injury to make a call.
As I asked and no one replied - I had wondered if…
This is profoundly stupid. Two of the best refs taken out because Vegas collapsed.
Vegas reached out to their fans and apologized for their PK. They also said it would not be playing in the next round.
I will never, ever fucking comprehend the logic of going all in by re-signing Kane and trading for Karlsson and then not addressing what was so clearly some of the worst goaltending in the league during the season.
Because even the commenters who race to the comment section to tell people how above this nonsense they are and we all should be are still clicking these posts. There are tons of more serious posts on Jez that get few clicks and comments, but these always get a healthy amount of traffic even from (probably even espec…

I don’t care about unwritten moral obligations.
It’s amazing how generous all of the commenters are . . . with other people’s money.
Being a replacement caddy for a major tournament doesn’t mean you’re some rando. He’s obviously qualified to work for the best otherwise he wouldn’t have been there.
I donno man, if it’s customary to give 10%, and you’re a pro-golfer supposedly living by the customs of the PGA, I would guess most of them?
Counterpoint — he could have changed a man’s life by giving him 10% of his $1.3 million winnings, which is not only custom but the moral, generous and decent thing to do. He could have done the right thing and still pocketed over $1.1 million for winning a fucking golf tournament.
I honestly do not understand your take, but rather than snark at you about it, I actually want to try to understand. What does the fact that he was standing in for another caddy have to do with his entitlement to be paid? If the waiter who typically takes your order at your favorite restaurant is out sick, and the guy…
First he was a replacement caddy
Why is Kuchar not obligated to pay his caddy the going rate just because it’s not his usual caddy?
“Everyone knew Joe Montana would eventually have arm issues. And look, he only won Super Bowl MVP three times before he got injured and traded away in favor of a backup. That’s why he went in the third round. Teams know what they are doing...”
