@Goldwings: I've never owned a Sony console (though my boss loaned me his PS1 for close to a year at one point). I was a pretty huge Nintendo fanboy, branching out to own a 360 this generation, and now I don't even have my Wii anymore. I plan to get a PS3 sometime this year, for Blu-Ray and exclusives.

@ipitydatfu: Falafel is great, one of the few things that Palestinians and Israeli jews agree on so you know it's tasty.

@Manly_McBeeferton: In Texas, in addition to chicken strips, you can get chicken fried steak strips. Instead of marinara sauce, honey mustard or ranch, they are served with gravy. I'll just be over here in California, slightly jealous but with a greater life expectancy, I'm sure.

@Sparkimus Prime: I happened to watch a film called The Great Buck Howard, with Colin Hanks and John Malkovich and loosely based on The Amazing Kreskin. Unexpectedly, there was a CYHSY appearance. And then another. I'd love to see them show up on the Rock Band Network.

Kristen Hersh, Of Montreal and The Hold Steady? Please and thank you.

@josh6135: Really, I think it would depend on if your TV is properly outputting a 5.1 surround signal. I would look in the manual for the TV. But. If your headset processor has a light that indicates it's receiving a 5.1 signal, then just plug it in, run something through the TV that you know is outputting a surround

@Archaotic: Amazon is delivering my copy of FFXIII Tuesday, and I've taken Wednesday off work in anticipation. I'll have to kick some serious Collector ass this weekend in ME2 so that I'm ready.

@madammina: I never took it that way. The 'sorry to break it to you' was just a reference to you joking 'great... now I need to see Ponyo'.

@hazelnut: There's a vas deferens between a dick and an asshole...

@madammina: Sorry to break it to you, but Peavyn29 is right and you're going to have to see My Neighbor Totoro as well. Luckily, it's back in print (Used copies were like $60-100 bucks just a few months ago) due to Ponyo's realease. One of the best entertainments aimed at children ever made. It's just more 'Japanese'

@nick111: I'd recommend sticking to one screen name, and choosing an icon. It helps others in the community, including the mods and editors, to remember you. Because one isolated argument or bon mot will probably not get you starred, followers, etc. It's when we connect a few together, and connect them to your screen

@Akio Morita: Wow... In my memory the theme was 'Take it Easy' by The Eagles, which I'm probably remembering from a movie about truckers... that is truly terrible.

@madammina: Kiki's Delivery Service is a good 'starter' Miyazaki, as it's the closest he got to a Disney type of film, although, as usual, the young heroine is questing after independence and maturity, not some blandly handsome prince. His films are so much healthier for girls than Disney flicks, but even if they

@Akio Morita: This was a spin-off from BJ and the Bear... Sheriff Lobo was essentially the Roscoe P. Coletrane that hassled BJ...

@madammina: I made the mistake of taking my young son to the theater to see Spirited Away. We had to walk out, but they've recovered, and it's joined the pantheon of beloved Miyazaki films in our household. This thread reminded me Ponyo is out on DVD, so I just ordered it from Amazon. Haven't seen it yet. For now, I

@Akio Morita: I even remember watching The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo.

@HeySmellThis: The $15 is a bit steep, but my son's been dying for Toy Soldiers to come out for months. I didn't get a chance to play it, but he was having a blast, and the game looks great.

@Friedhamster: This had my kids breathless with laughter last year when I showed them Himself for the first time. We had cake for breakfast the following morning...
