Great games with iconic mascots obey different laws than great games with new IP. I still say a Sonic game with great reviews and word of mouth would sell tons.

@bruceleroy99: I've mixed in old school games with the new. My son appreciates some of the harder games. My daughter gets frustrated with stuff like Contra, but she does like some scrolling shooters, and she is loving the revival of point-and-click adventures.
@abcFRAG: The dread pirate Clifford? Aaaaas Youuuuu Wiiiiish!
Correction: Felicia Day makes Dude huge.
@Archaotic: I refuse to buy a single Sonic game until Yakuza 3 comes to the US. Wait... that's going to lead to me rooting against Yakuza 3. What games are they publishing that might actually want, again? And I can't believe they're not bringing that over. Ridiculous.
@Witzbold: I think we're absolutely missing out, and it's a step backwards for the industry if the Six Days can't get published.
@North Star: There was a Roger Rabbit NES game, and a PC game as well, so Jessica counts. She's also very hot, though a bit of a troublemaker.
@Komrade Kayce - Hero of Soviet Kotaku: I'm still not even caught up from GAF'08, much less recovered!
@Komrade Kayce - Hero of Soviet Kotaku: @MellowJade: No close friends, but I feel like Kotaku is a neighborhood, and for the most part it's a great neighborhood. There are lots of folks I recognize by sight, I'm always up for a conversation, and of course the occasional asshole drives through and we have to stop…
@evanlemmons: Have you played Lost Odyssey yet? I know there are severay Kotakuites who got misty eyed playing Lost Odyssey, and it's a great RPG, to boot.
@PaxtonAstypalaea-Prime: Where's ma Nathan Drake lookin 2D mufuh's?
@Countchokeula: I sometimes enjoy when replies post where they shouldn't oughta.
@Witzbold: Not sure what the original question was, but between my kids and I, we have 2 DS Lites and a DSi. I gave my DS phat to my sister, and my DS Lite to my dad when I picked up the DSi. Playing Chrono Trigger and Chinatown Wars now, & play multi-player stuff with the kids.
@Sane Intolerant is a massive Halotard: Got it last night, added a bunch of movies to my Netflix que (it's better than their website for browsing anyway, if you wanted something specific it would still be best to go to the website) and fitted out my avatart from the Recessionista & Steampunk stores (although my boots…
@Komrade Kayce - Hero of Soviet Kotaku: I would go easy on the salt & vinegar chips if you're already drunk; I wouldn't make assumptions that it is early where you are, but you did say breakfast. A sour stomach in the morning is no good. Enjoy the donut, though.
@Witzbold: Hostess kitten pie, warmed in the microwave for 20 seconds... scrumpschy!
@Raspberyl's Lover: BoingBoing linked to several gaming papercraft/art stories on Kotaku.
@Kuwabara Kazuo: Warren Spector isn't known for making kids' games, I would concentrate my worry on the HD.
@BubbleF**kingBuddy: It's available on the American Marketplace too. Not sure if there are English instructions, though. Hopefully you could find instructions in English online somewhere after it has been out awhile.
@n00b_pwner: Star commenter FTW: John Lasseter of Pixar has been Chief Creative Officer of Disney Animation Studios since 2007, which is why they're starting to do traditional animation again. So quality is back on the menu, but even with Pixar I would like to see a darker side. Hopefully Spector sticks to his guns…
