Great games with iconic mascots obey different laws than great games with new IP. I still say a Sonic game with great reviews and word of mouth would sell tons.

@bruceleroy99: I've mixed in old school games with the new. My son appreciates some of the harder games. My daughter gets frustrated with stuff like Contra, but she does like some scrolling shooters, and she is loving the revival of point-and-click adventures.
