Honestly I’m totally fine with this ending, and on the whole thought Season 2 was improved over the first, but the season definitely has a lot of cruft and meanders far too often, leading to this finale that feels like all the necessary pieces blitzed in a blender.

I gave up half way through season 1, but would say it’s got nothing to do with the characters being unsuited to longer arcs, and everything to do with those longer arcs being trashfires of utter nonsense (with occasional blasts of nostalgia bait).
