...and have less professionalism

Sure, on some level it’s virtue signaling to decree you will eliminate ICE vehicles in X years, but better to fall short of an ambitious goal, than to make a weak one typically. On the other hand, when have promises from these organizations ever been worth more than the air used to promise them? They’re going where

Aside from not being interrupted by walk ups all day when wfh, I save on 13 DAYS a year of driving time. 13 days.

just increase the range.

The fun thing is that EV range and performance are the same hardware. Larger batteries mean more power for the system so more charge and discharge at once. Its why a Lucid air with 1100hp can get 550+ miles. The eco mode limits the maximum draw on the motors.
Closest comparison would be a cylinder deactivation

But there isn’t a “middle ground.” Lowering power doesn’t get you more range. Range requires more battery, which is a lot more expensive than a bigger motor.

Problem is that EVs don’t work like that. You don’t get more range for dropping down in power. To get more range, you need a bigger battery. This chassis likely can’t fit any more battery than it already has.

It’s a lot easier (and cheaper) to add a more powerful motor and suck the charge out of the battery faster. To add range, the only option is to make the battery bigger. This is expensive and heavy.

Range and power are not a trade-off with EVs. They are both a function of the battery size, and battery size is the primary driver of EV price.

Multiple car makers can go after the same niche. However, this is much more of a fun RAV4. The Kona is a full size down.

I think this is closer to the CX-3/CX-30 in size & spec.

I don’t think this is right, though. Other CUV / SUV makers seem to be doing quite well with their performance variants.

We were in NYC the last few days and a fair number of yellow taxis and almost all the Uber/Lyft drivers were using Toyota Sienna minivans.

N: If you really, really want to be in the back seat of a Crown Vic these days, there's still a few law enforcement agencies that still use them. Albeit, those "taxi" rides take you to a different kind of "home"...lol

The Toyota Sienna hybrid would be a great choice. Tons of room for passengers or luggage or both, and the hybrid version gets really good mileage.

North Korea always strikes as what a nation would look like if you gave Donald Trump full control over a nation.

Wonder if they got any aerial footage from the Goodyear blimp?

“I ran when the plane parked!”

They used to make aircraft parts.
