As someone who lives here, its a lot to do with the weather. Its really dry. And it doesn’t rain much. Doesn’t get insanely hot. Doesn’t get that cold either. I moved here 22 years ago with a 1996 Tacoma. It looks almost like new. I did repaint it a few years ago but other then that it is in great shape. I see a lot

Any running car at that price nowadays is a Nice Price. The fact that this one is in good condition makes it a lock.

It is exempt from the gas guzzler tax like every other SUV, truck, or minivan.

God DAMN, that’s one ugly ride. Slap on some fake wood trim and a coat of Metallic Pea and you’re ready for a Vacation reboot.

“I’m changing the climate. Ask me how!”

But the co-pilot slept at a Holiday Inn last night?

Yep. I think unless there’s some aversion to the Prius, we’re done here.

I say just get the best Prius you can for $8,500. Your wallet will thank you.

Also all the gas will have been panic-bought already.

Reverse: the cost of new EV’s cars. It seems like all the halfway decent ones cost $45K minimum.

Out of curiosity, what do you do on a daily basis that would preclude vehicle 1 from being an EV? Even with the mileage listed, I would be surprised if you regularly drove more than a hundred miles each way without passing a charger.

On my drive this morning, the cars in front of me in the turning lane were Hyundai Ionic 5, Polestar 2, and Tesla Model 3.  I think the Ionic was the best looking out of the three.

Box trucks also don’t have a rear window, I see no issues here.

Many/most EV models have the $7500 credit still though. Also the average new car is $46k, so having the average EV being right at the average car price is a huge industry win.

Well, if you’re going fast enough, what’s behind you doesn’t really matter.

My thought exactly, somewhere there is a house with a rather narrow but very orange driveway.

Congratulations on new job at Glavset.

It won’t be the first ship to make the trip.

I’m sorry, what now?

“Congrats to Ferrari, I guess, for continuing to be the envy of the industry, after all these years.”
