But it’s the Nissan Versa Note!   So it has a built-in stylus!

Northern Sweden and Finland disagree

I’m wondering if they were military personnel coming back to the US after being stationed in Europe?

EVs are viable as an only car now for many many buyers as long as you’re willing to accept that road trips will take a little longer”

100%.  It’s just that most people think they need a gas car with long range more than they actually do.  But if you have one already, chances are you want an EV for your next car

Dealerships: “Why don’t people want to buy from us?”

Their new contracts will probably have a ‘legal fee’ line added that they will claim is mandatory

Not many years ago, BEVs were 0% of car sales. Where I live (rural-ish exurb not in California) it feels like 1 in 10 cars I see are BEV now.

You cannot imagine owning an EV. Through the magic of narcissistic thinking you turned that into “nobody wants EVs!

Well said.  I also own a model 3 from the first year of production.

I used to think about conversions all the time, but I don’ t think it’d ever really take off, especially for things like minivans. The only market I could see is for converting classic cars essentially for Sunday cruises only.

People will gladly trade their RAV4s and CR-Vs for the similarly sized BEVs being released now. Just because trucks are the most sold vehicle, doesn’t mean smaller vehicles don’t make up a significant portion of the vehicles on the road.

I saw a convertible Nissan Murano the other day, talk about a unicorn.

As a suburban American dad who owns a large SUV and doesn’t know another suburban American dad that doesn’t own one, I can confirm this is false.

EVs continue to grow in popularity each year. For now, they are out of reach for the casual buyer looking to spend $25k or less, but I’m sure the same was true when automobiles started replacing horses.

We will never have a $25K EV to purchase new. I don’t know what you’ve been drinking this morning.

When giant SUVs are available as all electric I think you will see a market swing.

Just make a simple EV hatchback already and sell it in America for $25,000. I will buy it, I promise.

I’d shell out $60k for a BEV minivan tomorrow.

Yeah!

I mean, that line isn’t, you know, not beaver-y.
