Does this lag negatively impact the ability to avoid a deer?
By my calculations, that 1/8 second lag means that at 60mph, I can travel 11 feet before the front wheels respond to my input. That’s about half a car length, or about one Smart car.
A Chevy Cavalier and Cadillac Cimarron were virtually identical except for badges and a few swaths of interior trim.
There’s a guy at my office who has both this generation NSX (he might have the fixed headlights, I don’t recall) and a cherry Honda S2000. He alternates driving them to work. LoL.
Not to mention the ecological disaster most of them represent.
“Insurance totaled it due to small scrape.”
If he had at least one window open, that would have relieved the pressure somewhat. And if he was in a front seat and the canisters were in the back, as it appears, the seatback would have protected him from the brunt of the explosion and the resulting debris.
“We just need to draw attention Awaaaay from the face...”
Honestly, it looks like they just painted a bumper piece the same color as her dress and had her put her arms through it. It doesn’t look like a dress made from a bumper.
Agreed. Just like Audi naming all their EVs “e-Tron,” and then the “e-Tron” is an SUV and the “e-Tron Sport” is a low-slung sports sedan-ish vehicle.
False. Europeans also love SUVs (well, at least the smaller crossover types), but due to higher gas taxes tend to buy more fuel-efficient, smaller vehicles.
They are sort of sorted by date, though. The ID.3 was the first MEB vehicle. The ID.4 followed. There’s an ID.4 in Europe that is a coupe roofline version of the ID.4. There’s an ID.6 (two, actually) made in China for the Chinese market, which is a three-row, six or seven seat version of the ID.4. That makes the ID.7…
As I understand it, ID.4 sales were down primarily due to VW having supply issues with the new motors for the refreshed model. Possibly due to the demand for the ID.7 using more of the supply than anticipated.
If the FAA allowed a standing-room only section, you can bet your sweet buttcheeks Frontier, Spirit, and JetBlue would all have that section.
To be fair, almost nobody really knows for sure what they’ll do in an airplane emergency as very few people have ever actually experienced one. We can say whatever we think we’re going to do, but when smoke and flames are filling the cabin, almost 100% guaranteed nobody will proceed in a way that is rational. People…
Technically, Honda’s two-mode hybrid system doesn’t have a traditional transmission, not in the way of stepped ratios, CVT, or even eCVT.
The electronic ones allow the vehicle to automatically apply the parking brake if the door is opened, for example. Would have saved Scotty (Anton Yelchin).
You’re going to love this. In the updated Mazda infotainment, you CAN use it as a touch screen...but only if you’re running Apple Carplay or Android Auto. When you’re not in those systems, the native infotainment can only be controlled by the dial thing.
Most other manufacturers used a more intuitive (I guess?) push-to-remove mechanism, where you’d have to push the key into the column a bit and turn to go past the safety stop and release the key.
