Other than the front end, the ID.Buzz actually contains a lot of the styling cues from that concept.

I’m sure Winnebago and some other outfits will have conversions of these available.

This could be the first plane to be built entirely from counterfeit parts, though....

Ducks are pretty rapey, though.

As long as it has rich Corinthian leather, that’s all I need.

We already know what will happen because we saw it firsthand in 2021 and 2022, where used cars that were actually available for sale cost the same or more than new models that you couldn’t find anywhere or had to wait 18 -24 months to buy.

The issue is that in today’s market, once you hit that 2- 3 year old sweet spot, the used car is still not appreciably less expensive than a new one. Ok, you might get a used Camry for $24k vs. $28k new. But if the prices are so close, and you have to finance, the higher rates of used car financing closes the gap

The issue right now - and for the past decade or so - has been that new cars have been only marginally more pricey than a 2-3 year old model of the same vehicle. In other words, the used/CPO models aren’t selling for 20% the cost of new. It’s more like 90%. And if they’re that close to the price of a new model, you

There used to be a shop around here that specialized in driveshafts. It was (probably) run by some guy named Richard. The place was called Dick’s Shafts. I kid you not.

I’m betting the displays are cheaper than a wood veneer inlay.

Meanwhile, if you live where Waymo operates, I-Pace’s are a fairly common site.

It’s a beautiful car, much more attractive than the first-gen Mirai. It’s got that Japanese-market design language. If you look at the Mirai and the Toyota Venza, another Japanese import, it’s obvious both are cut from the same design cloth.

A Bentley Continental coupe is a compact car by the EPA.

It’s barely distinguishable from the Passat, both inside and outside. I mean, you have to look close to know you’re looking at two different cars. That and American’s disinterest in sedans and things that look like sedans didn’t do it any favor.

I mean, come on, that’s a new low. The guy has the receipts of Ditch renting the car, then there’s pictures of him with a veeeeerrrry eerily similar car at the race...that’s like pulling the knife out of a murder victim and claiming you didn’t stab them.

It’s not drag racing: it’s a measured mile, and I think they have to run it twice (up and back) and also there’s practice and whatnot.

The old saying goes that the fastest car in the world is a rental.

You almost had me? Doesn’t matter if you win by a mile or 10 miles.

You can find plenty of Bolts for sale under that threshold, and most of them should have a 1-2 year old battery since the recall. Is 260 miles of range not enough for you?

Agreed. One of the Jalop writers even bought a $2,000 Leaf with like 30 miles of range on it.
