Better to find out your underweight and gain altitude more quickly than expected, than to be overweight and veer off the end of the runway.
Their packs are like 150 lbs each. And they’re supposed to march 10+ miles a day with them.
Yes, they use industry standards for weight based on number of passengers and bags loaded. It’s, obviously, not exact, and they have adjusted the weight as humans have gotten more portly.
I’m almost tempted right now to book popular, busy flights, and then wait around for volunteers to give up their seat for cash money.
EVs are notoriously bad at eating up tires. LoL. My Tesla Model 3 got a new set at 22k, and my VW ID.4 is probably looking at around 25k before it needs a set.
More likely they’ll have an explosion in the prison population, and they’ll use prisoners to generate electricity.
I mean...that’s kind of how auctions work.
The Bolt is about $20k less expensive than the least-expensive Tesla Model 3. Is that substantial enough for you?
EVs are starting to dip down into Honda Civic territory, with the Bolt/EUV now starting around $26k and the Nissan Leaf starting around $29k. It is a bit of a jump from there to about $35k for the next tier of 200+ range EVs, but the days of “Tesla Model S or nothing” are behind us.
I lost my license and now I don’t drive.
I’ve seen a few in the flesh. Smaller than the midsize trucks, and decently handsome, to boot.
Oh yeah. That was arguably Infiniti’s most unique vehicle.
They are not.
The Frontier, like many former “mini” trucks, is now a “midi” truck. The Maverick is filling in the mini truck role.
Exactly. Tesla fans who call out the SuperCharging network or some other advantage Tesla vehicles have over competing EVs lose sight of the fact that different buyers will value those advantages differently.
I had Covid about a month ago. I’m vaxxed and boosted. Like you, it was little more than a summer cold. I had a few days of just generally feeling like crap, but only had the slightest of fevers and a sore throat, little or no congestion. By the time the test results came back, I was already on the mend.
I paid my tribute to Tesla - I bought a Model 3 about a year after they were available.
The thing with performance, range, and charging infrastructure, though, is that Polestar doesn’t have to be better than Tesla: those factors just have to be good enough to the buyer. Once those factors are “good enough” for both brands, then buyers start evaluating other things like ergonomics, styling, ride comfort,…
I encountered two prototypes or, more likely, validation builds, the other day. My takeaway is that the Lyriq is not as tall as most other CUVs, but it is long and wide. Oh, and that interior looks fantastic.
