I think he suffered from the Minfilia syndrome where he did nothing to help the main character, really, until he whipped out his scholar book for Heavensward.
Well that and his sister is infinitely cooler.

XIV also has sexy potatoes and giraffes, thank you.
It is 25 episodes so I suppose we can’t watch it until summer. For those that are watching on KissAnime... you are hurting the anime industry and you are hurting Studio Trigger. I understand the want to watch it right now but I’d rather support the creators.
The delay is not for dubbing, to my knowledge.
They will release it all at once... after it is done airing in Japan. Check Netflix again around March (if it’s a 13 episode show).
Believe me, the anime community was pretty bummed that Netflix got it just for this reason.
Interview With Monster Girls seems to be like the “surprise” hit of the season.
Netflix is going to wait and upload the Little Witch Academia series in its entirety after it airs.

This piece is aboslutely brilliant and the reason I read Kotaku.
I prefer “Puss Peepers.”
Ashley, you are an absolute treasure. Your articles always make me laugh.
The cutesy English audio is why I opted (at 10pm last night) to “pre-order” the Limited Edition to gain access to a free Japanese audio option. Well, that and the fact that all the characters are so squishie. :3
I started Witcher III this year without having played the previous games and got on just fine. There is a point after the first chapter of the game where you are asked questions about your actions (while getting your hair cut) from the previous games. I simply looked up what would happen with each choice and chose…
I find the lack of Waluigi disturbing.
I am legitmately more excited for this than Final Fantasy XV.
I’ll be surprised if this doesn’t turn out to be my top show of the season. The only other real contender is March Comes in like a Lion. The Great Passage looks like it could be great too but I don’t see a way for US fans to watch it.
