I remember this snow storm, it’s still one of the worse Seattle has had. Issue with PNW winters that most don’t realize is that the snow turns to ice almost immediately, combined with hills everywhere, so driving anywhere is damn near impossible.

In minneapolis when it really dumps you absolutely cannot rely on the busses as most of them get stuck or run super late and get so packed full of people that they’ll cruise right past your stop without stopping once they actually do come past.

I’m almost always able to find something that I like about any car, even the ones that people hate. :) And while this Prius isn’t my jam of horribly complex German crapbox, it’s hard to ignore its merits. There’s an allure to a car that will always work and does the job of a daily reasonably well.

You can still get ‘em! They like to hide those little condensed juice cans down by the off-brand ice cream for some reason, but you definitely don’t see a whole wall of them like in the good old days.
